Check-in was ok, but the same evening as we arrived my keycard stopped working, turned out the door ran out of battery or something like that, either way, I could not access my stuff until lunchtime the next day when they broke the door open. The replacement room was better but not having even a toothbrush sucked (and they dident even as if i needed anything, so poop handling by the staff/manager (manager didn't seam at al concerned that a guest was looked out from their room).
There was no coffee maker or even kettle, so more like a 2 star than 4 star hotel when it came to the amenities.

Stunning Split stands proudly on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, and due to its great climate is called the Mediterranean Flower. It features eclectic architecture, spectacular views and delicious cuisine.
Split is centred around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and boasting limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. It lies in a bay decorated with white sails of yachts, as sailing is definitely Split’s big thing!
The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.
Make sure you visit the Bačvice Beach and the Riva promenade, popular with locals and full of cafés and palm trees. While on the hunt for local specialities, try soparnik - wood-fired dough filled with vegetables - or local soda drinks Pipi and Orela.

Split has such a variety of things to offer! From the 3rd century Diocletian's Palace to the seafront promenade to the nearby beaches to the range of restaurants to the delicious gelato on almost every corner, who could resist a visit to this pleasant city! Spilt itself was beautiful.
Spilt itself was beautiful. There is a lovely old style feel to the place with lovely stone walls and narrow streets. The bus drivers were very rude. On one occasion, they left us standing on the side of a busy road while coursing at us for not getting the first bus even though that bus driver had closed the door and refused to let us on.
It was quite expensive on the main street, but there were some lovely restaurants sown the side streets that were cheaper. The market is lovely and has great quality food as well as stuff
People were friendly. It was such a relaxing place.

Split was wonderful. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs.
Split was wonderful. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs. Lovely walks and a beach nearby. You can book trips to various places if you want to see some of the fabulous islands. We went to Krka waterfalls which was stunning. Our host Elena was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We also continued with a trip to Trogir. Hvar is a beautiful island. Fabrique was a nice place to eat. It is very expensive in Croatia. 2 alcoholic drinks cost 28 euros!! Dining out is costly so take plenty of euros.

Split is an absolute must see and stay in for at least two days if you are visiting the Dalmatian coast. It combines great views, beautiful architecture and a warm welcome from all staff. We visited end of April in the low season so it was not too crowded…

Plenty of cafes for drinks & eating out - watching the world go by!
Historic city that has a vast amount of history to explore
Adventure trips out to national park, island trips & quad biking - we did all these and it made the holiday so enjoyable
The local buses are easy to navigate around the city and get out further - week ticket €20
Word of caution - review where you eat, as there are a lot of quick turnaround tourist venues that I found were not to a high standard
Stayed 3 nights in the deluxe studio apartment which certainly lived up to its name. This place is simply gorgeous. Well laid out and beautifully furnished. Plenty of room for 3 people to stay, with both a double bed and sofa bed.
The bathroom is huge with one of the best walk-in showers I've ever experienced. Great communication with the property before and during my stay, including recommendations for local restaurants. An easy walk into the old town. This was one of my favourite places to stay in 2 weeks of travelling through Croatia.
Fantastic apartment in the centre of the old town. Ground floor, no stairs. Quiet little alleyway just off the main square. Well appointed with kitchen, good size living area, lots of cupboard space in bedroom. Washing machine and detergent supplied. Good toiletries, plenty of towels.
Luggage storage available prior to checkin, cold beer in fridge and welcome snacks.
Host was friendly and offers of any help required.
Probably the best place we stayed in Croatia for amenities and space.
Being last minutes bookers, we were lucky to stumble on one of Mary’s Luxury Rooms. It’s literally just outside the center of the old town of Split. Clean & stylish. Although the room was at street level, it’s not a super busy street and with the AC on and the windows shut, noise wasn’t an issue at all. Judging by our Croatia lodging experience, it wasn’t really worth the 206 euros/night we paid. But when you book mere days in advance sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.
Charming, traditional Croatian house in a fantastic location- right in the heart of the Old Town with all the historic sites within a few minutes walk and surrounded by an excellent choice of restaurants. The host, Irena, was very friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants and day trips and was easily contacted. Lots of extras provided such as beach towels, umbrellas, washing powder and we could help ourselves to fresh towels.
The only word to describe the Balatura hotel is OUTSTANDING!!! From the warm welcome, to the spotlessly clean beautiful rooms, to the delicious fresh breakfast, the fantastic location and the excellent service and care by all the team, We could not have asked for more. We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a premium place from which to visit the beautiful city of Split, Croatia. many thanks to Dea and her team🌹
I booked my room at short notice and the hosts were very quick to communicate with me and confirm my arrival and details. On arrival I was impressed by the high standard of the room finish and the hosts were very friendly giving me local knowledge for Split and my future travels in Croatia. Very good aircon in the room. The location is very central in Split and was not noisy at night time. Would stay again for sure.
Amazing apartment with everything you need. Full kitchen and laundry made such a difference on our 7 week holiday. Perfect for when you need a reset and feel like cooking for yourself at home. The host was also the best, did not meet her in person but she kept in touch over WhatsApp our entire stay and helped us a lot. Location is about 10-15 min walk to the old town/city centre.
May be one of best hotel in hardware, New building, new interior, great balcony, sea view in croatia, surely nr. 1 in split, 20 Meter walk to beach. Food sector is the best part of hotel management at this time, good team, best food, great breakfast better then kempinski. At lunch time, New honest staff provide good service and really good food Even without enough printed Manu.
Exceptional hotel, the best staff we have ever had in any hotel.we have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble.for them,, the breakfast was ample, good quality and comes to order. This hotel made our first visit to Croatia very enjoyable. Want to commend Andy, Marianna, Maria and Chris for great personal.service
Lovely old hotel with a great breakfast. Host(s) were wonderful and very accommodating with our room switch. Rooms were very large and beds were very comfortable. Nice location out of the busy city centre but close enough for a walk. Dinner at the hotel was one of the best meals we had in Croatia!
Luca and Mario are excellent hosts. The property is beautiful and centrally located for everything in Split. Breakfast is out of this world and the best we experienced during a month in Croatia. Take the tour with Mario, you won’t be disappointed
One of the best apartments on our visit to Croatia. The hosts were awesome and they have thought of everything that a guest may need and them more. Highly, highly recommend that property for anyone looking to stay in Split old town.
Ideal location in city centre. I was already quest in more small hotels like this in Split, but Jupiter Luxury is far the best. Rooms are great, very good choice of breakfast.... front desk employees very helpful and polite.
Lovely boutique hotel tucked in an alley and so close to the waterfront and the Old Town of Split.
Thanks especially to the wonderful Rose who looked after us so well. Highly recommended.
The apartment was spacious, modern and clean in an excellent location being close to the Riva, old town and Varos area where the best restaurants were for authentic Croatian dishes.
Everything! Wonderful pool/spa, cool retro-industrial location near Split City Centre, great breakfast, kind and helpful staff...I cannot say enough good things about this hotel.
